About Us

The Cracroft Community Centre was established in 1972 to meet the needs of the residents of the local community and became an integral part in the rebuilding of the Old Stone House.

Early community programmes included school holiday activity programmes, yoga, interior decorating and crafts. A strong focus on fundraising and the dedication of it’s community members, the public and local council and businesses led to the Old Stone House being rebuilt with an official reopening in 1979.

The Old Stone House continues to be a community resource and is currently home to a diverse range of local groups including Bridge, Mah jong, exercise and crafts as well as the activities of the Cracroft Community Centre.

The Cracroft Community Centre (Inc) also manages the Old Stone House as a function centre which is available for casual hire at weekends and is a popular venue for weddings and functions.
